BATIK

Batik is an Indonesian word. This is a very old technique; the first discoveries have been made in the sacred vestments kept by the Egyptian pyramids. Starting from a unique fabric and design
, the Batik technique is performed with a pipette named Tjanting which contains liquid wax.

Where it is poured it makes the fabric waterproof for dyeing and, in the end, the fabric is surprisingly the same in both directions. In Bali this technique was performed by princesses to make the emperor's clothes. the application requires a lot of concentration as the result is unchangeable.

In Bali it is said that "whoever performs the Batik technique feels his soul close to God". The completed artifact is then offered so that the recipient can benefit, in turn, from the same divine sensation.

Until November 9th I hold my new personal exhibition in Udine. At LA LOGGIA Gallery. This is the photo of the event.

hi!

Color, silk and Batik are for me a source of life. Many of the creations you see here have already been sold or donated. I handmade scarves, ties, cushions and bedspreads. Each piece is uniqe and it takes time to do it.

Pleased to meet you!
